About the Author and Blog

Guten Tag, I am Brigid,

I am an Irish Celt and Viking mix, that  no one ought to mess with. I have come to learn, understand, pillage and otherwise plunder all the knowledge I might be able to possess. The Craziness does not stop there I am indeed also Catholic, working on her B.A. in theology and  a minor in Philosophy. However do not fear, I am running about and willfully showing this bloggy mess weekly about topics that range in realms of theology, philosophy, and reflections on the daily life in general. The Origin story for the blog and its name will remain in a sort of mystery but do express a helpful clue of inspiration from the Hope Pope and Venerable Archbishop. I shall provide more information about that later. With that in mind, I am very much open for feedback on my writings both positive and negative.

As G.K. Chesterton said in Orthodoxy:

“Imagination does not breed insanity. Exactly what does breed insanity is reason. Poets do not go mad; but chess-players do. Mathematicians go mad, and cashiers; but creative artists very seldom. I am not, as will be seen, in any sense attacking logic: I only say that this danger does lie in logic, not in imagination.”
